Description

The Dirt King Prefab Bed Cage was created after extensive experience in building custom bed cages. This expertise has led to a design optimized for maximum travel and easy installation. The Dirt King DK-636828 bed cage occupies minimal space without sacrificing strength. It features accessory mounting holes in the center section for dust lights and flag whips. The entire kit bolts together and mounts to the frame once four brackets are welded on. It is compatible with both leaf over and leaf under spring packs.

This suspension system offers significant advantages over a cantilever suspension system. First, the shock mounts on the bed cage are positioned outside the frame rails, providing increased stability. Second, the shocks are mounted vertically with a motion ratio close to 1:1, ensuring proper dampening throughout the suspension travel. In contrast, a cantilever suspension has a higher motion ratio, leading to smaller shocks that are harder to valve correctly and heat up faster due to less fluid.
