Description

The Dirt King DK-541908-H Ram 1500 long travel kit is designed to significantly enhance off-road handling without sacrificing daily driving comfort. This suspension system allows for 13.5 inches of travel and accommodates up to a 37-inch tire. It is compatible with both 2WD and 4WD models, with extended axle shafts required for the latter. The upper and lower arms feature 1-inch stainless steel uniballs for the outer pivots, replacing traditional ball joints to provide greater strength and increased articulation.

This innovative kit is the first of its kind, offering a complete bolt-on application with no cutting or welding required for 4WD models. Originally developed for Ram Trucks’ concept vehicle, the Ram Rebel TRX, which debuted in mid-2016, the kit’s outstanding performance led to its production for public availability.

4WD Models

To maximize travel on 4WD models, the inner CV joints must be machined for increased articulation. We provide various CV machining services and complete axle assembly options. For more details on these services and additional information on CV machining.

2WD Models

The 2WD frames are identical to the 4WD frames, except for the coil bucket location. On 2WD models, the coil buckets must be replaced with our shock towers (DK-541908-ST) to accommodate the proper size shocks. Our shock towers come preassembled with detailed instructions to ensure a straightforward installation.

Shocks

This suspension system requires shocks built to our specific specifications. Detailed instructions for building these shocks are provided in the PDF located under the “specs” tab. The shocks, featuring proprietary internal valving for optimal performance, are also available for purchase through Dirt King Fabrication.
